“The greatest wealth is health,” “sound mind sound body,” and “health is a state of body, wellness is a state of being” are all mantras we’ve seen on social media or tv commercials, but these types of mantras are continuing to make their way into the workplace; and for good reason. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the average person spends 8.56 hours at work each day. That is more than 1/3 of your total day; 1/2 of your total awake hours. To encourage wellness in the workplace, we’re starting Wellness Wednesday on our social media pages. Now, I know what you’re thinking, “on Wednesdays we wear pink,” but we think there might be room to add another line item in your normal Wednesday routine. So, on Wednesdays we will repost articles with helpful tips and ideas on how to be more mindful at work. Think of us as your one stop shop for all things useful in the workplace – wellness, facilities management trends, workplace request management, in-building logistics, and food holidays.
