Meet the new Customer Success Manager, Adam Bower!
In the last quarter of 2019, SCLogic hired a new Customer Success Manager focusing on Higher Education, Adam Bower. Adam’s goal is to help customers leverage Intra to achieve their operational goals. Adam has worked in Higher Education for just under a decade. He comes from Ohio University, where he served as the Mail Manager, overseeing both the business and student logistics systems on campus. Ohio University has roughly 20,000 enrolled undergrads at the main Athens campus, and approximately 7,500 students residing on campus.
In his tenure at Ohio U, Adam reorganized the business logistics system after a comprehensive eight-month LEAN study, partnering with the engineering school on campus. The results of this study led to the following savings in the first year. A reduction of overtime by $55,000 (94%), student labor cost by $14,000 (76%), reduced miles driven by 15,000 miles a year representing a savings of $6,000+ in fuel, and the eventual implementation of intelligent lockers.
After the restructuring of the business logistics systems on campus, Adam was assigned to work with the Housing and Residence Life department to take ownership and rebuild their logistics system. As a result, Adam moved from a decentralized logistics model to a semi-centralized logistics model, creating a mailroom on each (3) green. Adam incorporated a virtual file folder mail system, recouping 3,500+ SQFT, deployed intelligent lockers, improved the student experience, lowered cost by $110,000. Before Ohio University, Adam worked at L Brands, (Columbus, OH) in their wholesale international logistics and value add groups. Adam Holds a B.A from Colorado Christian University and an M.B.A from the University of Findlay.
